The most iconic church of the city is the first place you will discover. Highlights inside include Pellegrino Pellegrini’s beautiful altars, sarcophagi of historic archbishops, and Marco d'Agrate’s grisly Saint Bartholomew Flayed (1562) sculpture. The archaeological area down a narrow staircase is also worth a visit. After the visit of the church we climb the famous stairs to the roof. The views are one of the city’s biggest attractions are available as an entirely separate ticket from the cathedral itself. Choose between two different lifts or an energy-sapping climb up a narrow, twisting staircase. Start the day by getting to know a local winery in beautiful Franciacorta area. Franciacorta is a famous area in Northern Italy that has developed in time the wine production. Especially well-known are the sparkling wines that thanks to high quality have been exported internationally

The tour of the winery includes a path into the vineyards and the cellars of about 50 minutes. Taste of locally produced wine together with some typical cheese and breadsticks

After the snacks and the wine tasting it is finally time to sit at a typical italian restaurant

Ready to experience the typical italian meal on a magnificent terrace in front of the lake? 4 courses: entree, main course, second course and dessert. Drinks and coffee are included

An afternoon of shopping awaits ahead. After the lunch your Sweet Travel Italy assistant will take the group to visit the Franciacorta Outlet Village where you can find all the italian brands for clothes and fashionable

Around this time your Sweet Travel Italy assistant will gather the group from the Franciacorta Outlet Village to go back to the hotel

After the breakfast your Sweet Travel Italy assistant will gather the group in the hotel reception for the transfer to another hotel near Como Lake

After the check out the group will travel on board our minivan to discover Varenna town

The group will leave the luggages in the minivan to continue the exploration of the towns on the shores of Como Lake

Together with the English speaking guide walk the town of Varenna. Visit St. George Church and the beautiful lakeside where bars, cafes and gelateria (shops dedicated only to selling freshly made ice creams) are located. Make sure to ask your guide about Castle Vezio and the falconry

Famous for its luxurious gardens and overlooking the shores of Lake Como, Villa Carlotta was built in the late-seventeenth century by Marquis Giorgio Clerici of Milan. In 1801 the building was sold by Caterina Bigli Clerici, the last descendant of a noble family, to Giovanni Battista Sommariva, at the time President of the Governing Committee of the Cisalpine Republic (1797–1802) established by Napoleon Bonaparte in Northern Italy

You will then go to another enchanting place: Bellagio. Here you will have some time to discover the local cuisine and restaurants. Your Sweet Travel Italy assistant will take care of the group and eventually indicate the best solutions in town for every appetite

This neoclassical building was once erected for a noble family duke Melzi D'Eril and it is still a private mansion. Together with the English speaking guide you will discover the gardens surrounding the villa and its magic japanese pond

Leaving the amazing gardens of Villa Melzi D'Eril and start the return trip to the new hotel located in Lecco. As soon as you arrive in Varenna our minivan will drive the group to the hotel

Check in selected 4* hotel in the lakeside town of Como. Breathe the chilled atmosphere of the lake

This train is not only a train but a moving theater. Crossing the landscapes of this part of Italy will blow your mind in terms of shapes and colours. Make sure you have your camera and free space to load the tons of pictures you will take. Climbing up to 2253 mt., on board the English speaking guide will explain all the extravaganza of the train. The journey time is approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes

As soon as the train reaches St. Moritz, together with your Sweet Travel Italy assistant you will have some free time to spend and walk around to find a place to enjoy a quick lunch

Did you know Alessandro Manzoni, one of the greatest italian writers of 17th century, set up his most memorable book in this town by the lake? You will walk together with the guide and discover the places of the book and reach Pescarenico fish village

Transfer with our minivan to Como town

Visit with the English speaking guide the Como cathedral and ascent with the Como-Brunate funicular. Great opportunity to take landscape pictures of the lake with a 360° view

Around this time your Sweet Travel Italy assistant will gather the group and hop on our minivan to head back to the hotel

Explore the town by walking across its historic districts, visiting its churches, its funiculars and its walkways climbing up through the lush vegetation of the Hills Park. Let yourself be enchanted by the surprising views of the flatland and the mountains. Bergamo is the birthplace of Donizetti, one of the world’s five greatest opera composers: you can trace the life of this 19th century musician starting from his native house in Upper Bergamo, admiring his mementos at the Museo Donizettiano, at his grave in the Santa Maria Maggiore Basilica and at the city theatre, which was named after him. From music to art masterpieces, such as Botticelli’s, Mantegna’s, Bellini’s and Raphael’s: you can find these masters in the halls of Accademia Carrara Picture Gallery, housing one of Europe’s most outstanding collections of the Italian Renaissance
